Red Sox lineup: Rafael Devers starts against Clayton Kershaw

October 23, 2018 - 4:21 pm

Alex Cora is showing some faith in third baseman Rafael Devers. After platooning Devers and Eduardo Nunez on a left-right basis to begin the playoffs, it looks like Devers is now the everyday starter regardless of matchup, as the 21-year-old gets the start in Game 1 of the World Series against left-handed Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw.

Here's the full Red Sox lineup for Game 1:

Mookie Betts RF
Andrew Benintendi LF
Steve Pearce 1B
J.D. Martinez DH
Xander Bogaerts SS
Rafael Devers 3B
Ian Kinsler 2B
Sandy Leon C
Jackie Bradley Jr. CF

And here is the Dodgers' righty-heavy lineup set to face Chris Sale:
