Tom Brady in danger of not getting single MVP vote

November 21, 2018 - 9:53 am

Last year's National Football League MVP is in danger of not getting a single vote when it comes to the award this time around., an online betting service, has set its line when it comes to the favorites to win MVP for the 2018 season. Saints quarterback Drew Brees sits as the favorite, but that isn't the biggest takeaway from the list. That would belong to Tom Brady's lot in life, with last season's MVP sitting at No. 6, just behind Andrew Luck and in front of Philip Rivers.

Last year three players received MVP votes. Brady dominated the process with 40 nods, with Todd Gurley garnering eight votes and Carson Wentz coming in with two. This round may mark the first time since 2012 the Patriots quarterback didn't receive at least one MVP vote.

Brady is currently 11th in the NFL in passing yards, totaling the league's 17th-best passer rating. He has also thrown 12 fewer touchdowns than Luck, finding the end zone 17 times to go along with seven interceptions.
