NBC Sports analyst Tony Dungy: "Two weeks ago, we assumed New England was that locked No. 1 seed; everything was going to go through Foxborough. Not so sure now." NBC Sports and MMQB founder Peter King: "If Hue Jackson is No. 1 (coaching candidate), then Josh McDaniels, the offensive coordinator for the Patriots, is 1A. I believe he will be in demand for multiple teams for head coaching positions this offseason, including the Detroit Lions." NFL Network analyst Steve Mariucci on the Patriots: "They're not going to end up the number three seed, I'm just telling you that." Mariucci on the Patriots' offense: "They'€™re going to get Gronk back, they'€™re going to get Edelman back, and that'€™ll help certainly. But what they'€™re not gonna get back '€” they'€™re banged up in that offensive line, and Tom Brady'€™s getting hit more this year than ever before." NFL Network analyst Deion Sanders on the Patriots offense: "Their receivers are horrible. I mean, flat-out horrible. Without Gronkowski and Edelman ... at least step up. Everybody always says 'Next man up.' What about when the next man up really ain't the next man? TO, Chad [Johnson], whoever wants to play the receiver position right now, I'll pay for your one-way ticket to New England. ... They need receivers bad." NFL Network analyst LaDainian Tomlinson on the Patriots' loss: "This [game], to me, is an example of not having your best guys on the football field."
