With the bye week last week, the Patriots were able to sneak in an extra practice on Tuesday prior to Sunday's game in Denver against the Broncos.

According to those on site, there were six players missing: Chris Hogan, Shea McClellin, Malcom Brown, Nate Solder, Marcus Cannon and Dont'a Hightower.

Hightower is obvious as he is out for the season, and Hogan, Brown and Cannon have all been dealing with injuries of late. Solder has missed random practices this season due to non-injury reasons, which leaves McClellin as the biggest surprise. He's practiced the last few weeks and was eligible to come off injured reserve this week.

The status of McClellin and the others is worth monitoring as the week goes on.

[UPDATE 2:45 p.m.]: Hightower reportedly has been placed on injured reserve and also it doesn't appear McClellin will be returning this year, either.

Since it's Tuesday, there will be no injury report.
