WEEI/NESN Jimmy Fund Radio-Telethon

The 17th annual WEEI/NESN Jimmy Fund Radio-Telethon presented by Arbella Insurance Foundation raised an incredible $4,456,571 over the course of two days. Thank you to everyone who donated! Since 2002, your generous support has helped raise more than $53 million.

Kirk & Callahan got things started Tuesday morning with a bunch of great guests. Among the highlights were former Patriot Nate Solder and his wife, Lexi, who discussed their son Hudson's battle with cancer (audio). Tom Brady called in as well (audio), while Governor Charlie Baker joined the guys in studio (audio, video). Other guests included patients Mila Carter (audio, video), Johnny Morris (audio, video), Zack Easton (audio, video), Geoffrey Goose (audio, video), Hannah Packman (audio), and Nancy Hale (audio); former New England Revolution player Charlie Davies (audio); Celtics owner Wyc Grousbeck (audio); RNs Margaret Julio and Courtney Shea (audio); Dr. Barrett Rollins (audio); and, of course, Jimmy Fund "play lady" Lisa Scherber (audio).

During Dale & Keefe's Day 1 broadcast, we officially passed $50 million raised since the Radio-Telethon began in 2002. Their show featured interviews with former Bruin Shawn Thornton and current Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy (audio, video), Bruins CEO Charlie Jacobs (audio), Red Sox teammates David Price and Brock Holt (audio, video), and former Secretary of State John Kerry (audio). Other guests included patients Marlin Welcome (audio), Kyle Lynch (audio, video), Kindy Pichardo (audio), Jennifer McCann-Black (audio), Saila Hanninen (audio), Liza Litzow (audio), Marc Reiss (audio), and Lenny Intravesato (audio).

The incredible guests and stories continued on Ordway, Merloni & Fauria. They talked to Hall of Fame QB Jim Kelly (audio); Red Sox outfielder Mookie Betts (audio, video) and second baseman Dustin Pedroia (audio); NHL player Brian Boyle (audio); and patients Madison Paskell (audio, video), Madie Miller (audio, video), Brody McDermott (audio, video), Colt Verbeck (audiovideo), Maria Clifford (audiovideo), Ava Santos (audiovideo),  Callie Carney (audio), Allie Young (audio), Robert Thompson (audio), and Representative Brad Hill (audio).

Day 2 opened Wednesday morning with a bunch of great guests on Kirk & Callahan. 17-year-old Carlie Gonzalez stood out as one of our best guests ever (audio, video), and fellow patients Max Mitchell (audio, video), Nixon Clarke (audio, video), Zack Cummings (audio, video), Jack Salay (audio, video), Will Holbrook (audio, video), and Tricia Severns (audio) were all great as well. Other highlights included the family of Sean Collier (audio, video), Red Sox president Sam Kennedy (audio, video), former White House press secretary Sean Spicer (audio), and Chris "Mad Dog" Russo (audio).

Dale & Keefe kept the momentum going with guests like J.D. Martinez (audio, video), Dave Dombrowski (audio, video), Brad Stevens (audio), Ray Bourque (audio), Ryan Donato (video), and Mayor Marty Walsh (audio). They also talked to inspiring Jimmy Fund patients like Carley Adams (audio, video), Harry Clark (audio), Carmen Hale (audio), Betsy McDonald (audio), Teresa Connor (audio), Barbara Cooke (audio), and David Muscatelli (audio), as well as Dana-Farber president and CEO Laurie Glimcher (audio).

Ordway, Merloni & Fauria wrapped up the daytime portion of the event with more incredible Day 2 guests, including Chris Sale (audio, video), Alex Cora and Terry Francona (audio, video), Robert and Jonathan Kraft (audio), Pedro Martinez (audio), Tedy Bruschi (audio), and Steve Pagliuca (audio, video). Patients Hannah Serpa (audio, video), Samantha Dubois (audio, video), Breslyn Clinton (audio, video), William Bren (audio, video), Emily DeLiddo (audio), Paul O'Mara (audio), Jennifer Geoffroy (audio), Rick Germani (audio), and Sandi Schussel (audio) all stopped by to share their amazing stories as well.
